Welcome to Blue Planet Museum Consulting, LLC.   

Since 2002, Blue Planet has provided art and curatorial services, cultural resource management, communications and exhibition development, lighting design and project management, in addition to logistics planning.  Our professional experience, project management skills and national network of associates continue to contribute to efficient and cost-effective solutions for art museums, history and science centers, corporate collections and private collectors. 

 
OUR PRINCIPALS

Jane Bisel  Ms. Bisel's background includes experience in editing, writing, research, graphics and project administration.  She is the author of a historic structure report on a Frank Lloyd Wright residence, a contributor to an anthology on the natural history of Pompeii published by Cambridge University Press and co-author of an award-winning book published by Scholastic Press in seven international editions.  She has edited numerous published works and theses and worked as a scientific illustrator at the Mayo Clinic.  She holds a Master's degree in communications from McGill University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from Reed College. 

Stevenson Williams  Mr. Williams has over twenty-five years of experience in museum art services, museum graphics and publications, exhibition development, project management and exhibit and lighting design.  Prior to his association with Blue Planet Museum Consulting, he was the General Manager of FAE Atlanta and Associate Director of the Special Projects division of FAE Worldwide.  He worked at the John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art from 1979 to 1994.  Here, as museum preparator, design coordinator and then designer, he collaborated on the development and implementation of numerous exhibits and museum publications.  He was also one of the team leaders for the twenty million dollar renovation and re-installation of the art galleries.  In addition, Mr. Williams has been a studio assistant to artist John Chamberlain.  He holds a Bachelor's degree from New College of Florida.

"IBM Innovation: From the Industrial Age to the Information Era" 

Blue Planet developed, curated and designed this permanent exhibition.  Coupling historic photographs and artifacts with interpretive text, it  outlines the history of the IBM Corporation from its early industrial roots to its current leadership role in the information age. 

"Building IBM Rochester: Celebrating Fifty Years"   

Our company developed this two-venue exhibit for IBM Rochester and the Olmsted County History Center. This exhibit explores the original concepts underlying IBM’s Eero Saarinen designed facility in Rochester, Minnesota, and documents the company’s ongoing commitment to preserving its significant architectural features.
